First Full-Length Trailer for Kathryn Bigelow’s Bin Laden Movie: ‘Zero Dark Thirty’

Academy Award winning director Kathryn Bigelow’s first movie since 2009’s The Hurt Locker has been shrouded in secrecy for a long time. Seemingly put on the fast track almost immediately after the news of Osama bin Laden’s death over a year ago, Zero Dark Thirty did not even have an official title until the premiere of this trailer. The combination of Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal, who wrote Hurt Locker and also received an Oscar, promises to provide similar documentary realism to one of the biggest events in recent history. The preview below offers only fleeting glimpses of audio from the movie set over images being covered and uncovered by black censor bars. Zero Dark Thirty features Jessica Chastain, Joel Edgerton, and Scott Adkins in unspecified roles. Other details are still very scarce.
