I haven’t posted for a few weeks given the holiday craziness and a very busy few weeks at Cultural Transmogrifier. So in that regard, here are some short blurbs from my published works at CT since my last post here (including reviews on Deadfall and The Hobbit!). Hope you enjoy.

(Presented in chronological order)

Dec. 7, 2012: CT’s First Anniversary – A Brief Look Back

“First off, if you’re reading this, then thank you. On December 14th, Cultural Transmogrifier Magazinewill celebrate it’s first anniversary since going live. It’s hard to believe, but a lot has happened in that first year. Starting next week, I’ll be posting three different brief articles that detail our top 10 biggest hits for Features, Reviews and News.”

Dec. 10, 2012: CT’s First Anniversary – Year in Review: Features

“Our Features are all unique and original content from our extremely talented writers. They could be lists, essays, comical discussions, pretty much anything. Below are our top ten most popular in order with brief quotes from each. If you missed one of them, hopefully you find some time to catch-up. Enjoy.”

Dec. 10, 2012: The Future Of ‘Star Wars’ by Patrick Peris

“In late November we ran a Gangam Style Mash-up from our friend Patrick Peris. He has once again created another great mash-up, this time for all the Star Wars and Disney fans out there. In my humble opinion this is one of Patrick’s best ones yet!”

Dec. 11, 2012: CT’s First Anniversary – Year in Review: Reviews

“As we celebrate our first anniversary we are taking a look back at our 10 biggest hits in Features, Reviews and News. Next up is Reviews! (Warning: Some spoilers from Season 2 of Game Of Thrones below).”

Dec. 11, 2012: ‘Man of Steel’ Trailer 2

“It features a deeper look into the story of Clark Kent and his struggles to understand who he is, where he comes from and if he has an obligation to share his power with the world. It looks to be a fantastic new take on this character and place him in a realistic setting as much as possible.”

Dec. 12, 2012: ‘Deadfall’ Review: A Mediocre Thriller At Best

“Bana is terrific as the troubled and conflicted Addison and is the real star of the film. His dark past and murderous tendencies contradict his protective and fatherly nature when he finds a mother and two young children in need of his help.”

Dec. 13, 2012: CT’s First Anniversary – Year in Review: News

“As we celebrate our first anniversary we are taking a look back at our 10 biggest hits in Features, Reviews and News. The last one is News!”

Dec. 14, 2012: ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ HFR 3D Review: A Beautiful Start to an Adventure

“The film is also wonderfully acted – particularly by Martin Freeman (Bilbo). It’s whimsical, lighthearted and relaxed. It still has the emotional impact and tension at the right moments, something Jackson has gotten better at in each film.”
